Man dies with $32 million estate and no will = litigation

Hard to believe someone with worth $32 million had no estate plan in place.  Especially, a person who had a child which few people in his family knew about.  Now, his estate has and will be paying legal fees to get this all sorted out.  (The link to the story is at the bottom of this post)

Having a will can save your estate (what you leave to your heirs) thousands of dollars in legal fees.  Without a will, your property passes per state statute through the probate process.

A trust with a will can save your estate even more in legal fees by passing your property directly into your trust instead of through the probate process.
