Exciting New Hope for Alzheimer’s

The latest research in the fight against Alzheimer’s brings new hope for treatment.  The research provides more proof that the disease is linked to the excessive amounts of a specific protein in the brain (beta amyloid).  They found that some people have a gene mutation that slows the production of the beta amyloid, thus protecting them from developing Alzheimer’s.

This is great news because it provides guidance on how to formulate treatment for the disease, like a drug to reduce the amount of beta amyloid in the brain which is currently in development.
