Erin McBee received her Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and in Government from the University of Texas at Austin (UT).  During college and after graduation, Erin worked in the Dean of Students office at UT in the Services for Students with Disabilities Division.  In that position she helped to make UT more accessible to students with various abilities in part by coordinating recording of textbooks, arranging for test proctors, repairing wheelchairs, and converting documents into Braille.  

Erin earned her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating cum laude.  New England School of Law awarded Erin a full tuition scholarship for all three years of her attendance.  She received the New England School of Law Service Award, the New England Scholar Award, and the CALI Award for Remedies.  Erin was also on the Dean's List.

During law school, she was active in the Public Interest Law Association (as Auction Co-chair and as President), and served as Executive Literary Editor on the New England Journal for Criminal & Civil Confinement.  Additionally, she wrote a memo for the Prosecutor in the International War Crimes Tribunal for Rwanda http://www.nesl.edu/center/wcmemos/1998/mcbee_optimized.pdf

Erin is licensed to practice in both Texas and Massachusetts.  After working as Legal Director at Volunteer Legal Services in Austin, Texas, Erin returned to Massachusetts.  Before opening the Law Office of Erin McBee, Erin worked in the Public Records Division at the Secretary of the Commonwealth.  She then worked in private practice serving in an Of Counsel role to the Law Office of Nicole K. Talbot in Littleton where she focused her practice in estate planning, family law, business, and real estate.

The Law Office of Erin McBee was opened in 2006 in North Andover, Massachusetts and is now located in Harvard.  Since 2006, Erin has expanded her skill set to include Elder and DisAbility* Law (long term care planning and Medicaid planning).  She worked with the Elder Law firm of Cohen & Oalican, LLP in Boston to gain experience with Medicaid applications and long term care planning.

Erin is constantly expanding her knowledge base through attending continuing legal educations seminars and keeping up with recent developments in her fields of practice by reading trade journals like Trusts & Estates, the NAELA journal, the Texas Bar Journal and multiple listservs.  She is also a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Massachusetts NAELA, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, and Wealth Counsel.
